Since I’ve recently entered into a contract to purchase an older property, I’ve suddenly become interested in heating and cooling options. This seasoned property I shall be buying has never had any heating or cooling in the slightest. It seems rather strange, I know but this property was built in the 1920’s. Houses undoubtedly were not being built with Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment back in those days. In fact, my research shows that heating and cooling equipment was primarily for the elite, and Heating, Ventilation & A/C was severely extravagant for that time period. However, I’m up for the challenges of owning an older property. I’ve already chosen a corporation to work on the property, so the plumbing and wiring will be brand new. Of course, the windows and the roof is also on the list. The walls are concrete, so they have actually aged quite well, unlike other parts of the property. However, that is fine since I love the period and the history of the property, along with the architecture. Since the property has never had A/C and it has concrete walls, there will undoubtedly not be any A/C air duct throughout the property. In fact, my research shows that the best A/C equipment for this property will be a ductless mini-split Heating, Ventilation & A/C system. After most of the substitutes are finished and almost complete, the corporation will have the Heating, Ventilation & A/C service worker install the new ductless mini-split into our historic home. The Heating, Ventilation & A/C professional will install the ductless mini-split Heating, Ventilation & A/C equipment easily into the house. With just a few pieces of hardware, and a bit of electrical work, the ductless mini-split will actually send cooled, conditioned air throughout.
