The other day, I had to go to the post office to send a package. I took my kids with me as well, thinking it would be a quick trip there and back. Well, when I got inside, there was a terribly long line. I could see that this post office was severely understaffed because there were only 2 people taking care of customers. We were in for a long wait! The thing that bothered me the most was the complete lack of A/C in the building. Someone else in line asked about them lowering the thermostat and they said that their HVAC system was broken. They said that there was an HVAC serviceman that should be arriving within the hour. I was so tempted to just be on my way and send this package another time, but I particularly had to get that package out. It was a return of a car part I had bought. The car part happened to be a new A/C compressor. When I took my car to the shop, they told me it was the wrong part and they supplied their own part for my car. I was cross that I had been given the wrong part, and I needed that money back. In the post office, all they had was fans blowing. Even with that I could hardly even detect any air movement inside of the site. We were melting in there. I felt particularly bad for my kids. They were bored, restless, and hot. They were goofing around a little bit, but I could tell they were not having the best time. Finally when I got out of there, I just cranked the A/C in the van and we headed home in the cool car.
