Last Wednesday was so cold! The cold temperatures dipped down to the lower 30s, and my wife and I thought we might even see snow. Both of us haven’t had snow in our section of the country for about 5 years now, so it would have been beautiful. Both of us ended up not having any snow, however it was still frosty! I decided to cook some chili to heat things up. I also had to adjust our thermostat to compensate for the colder temperatures. I wasn’t sure if our old furnace would even work, although I had to at least try. I gathered all the ingredients for our chili, and after that I went over to the thermostat. I adjusted the thermostat in hopes that the old gas furnace would come on. I waited for the low hum, however it never came. It seemed that our old furnace was broken. With a broken spirit, I called our local heating and cooling system service shop being ever so hopefully they had someone available to come service our heating system. It was too freezing to go without a furnace! They luckily had an Heating Air Conditioning system service woman that could come out later that morning. In the meantime, I sat back and made our chili. I sat close to our stove, so it acted love a sort of furnace. When the chili was done cooking, I ate myself a big bowl to warm me up on the inside. It warmed me up while I waited for the HVAC service woman to show up! Eventually, the Heating Air Conditioning system service woman showed up. She took care of our old furnace, and had it running in almost no time at all! She even had time to enjoy a small bowl of my chili!
