My girlfriend Cara is not very decisive at all. I can’t get her make a small decision on anything. Where are we going tonight? What movie do you want to see? Do you want to get a run in before seeing each other? Cara can’t answer any of these questions herself. It is always what I wish to do, and most of the time, I don’t care no either way. So it gets frustrating. I also hate deciding things I feel Cara cares about more, or has a lot more knowledge of. For example, Cara and I wanted to upgrade our HVAC equipment in our condo. Jane’s father used to be an HVAC contractor, so she knows a bit about heating and cooling systems. She has heard her father talk about different kinds of HVAC pieces endlessly over the years. So I had to leave the HVAC decision partly up to her. What HVAC unit are we going to get and where should we set it up? That was all she had to decide. I would do most of the leg work. I would even choose the HVAC company to do that HVAC installation. I also would set us up by having a HVAC service plan. That way we don’t have to worry about missing our annual HVAC maintenance. But, Cara could not settle on this. It was too big to a decision. She did not want that pressure. So with virtually no knowledge whatsoever, I had to research and make a guess on the best HVAC unit for us. Needless to say, I was not pleased by this turn of events. I picked us out a cool ductless mini split though.
