Some time ago, I thought it would be a great project to start a dog grooming business. Because my children were still quite young, I wanted to work from home in order to be available to them. I certainly like dogs. Additionally, I have taken classes in dog grooming techniques. I figured I could set flexible hours and make a bit of extra money. Getting started, however, required a big investment. I first needed to renovate and enclose the back porch, as well as set up all of the necessary equipment, such as clean basins, dryers, clippers, and crates. I also spent a small fortune to extend the ductlabor of the home to the porch, install supply and return vents, and temperature control our labor area. Very shortly after I started the business, I realized that the oil furnace and cooling unit were not satisfactory to handle the amount of odor and fur that came with the business. My entire place reeked of dog, and the fur continually jammed up the heating and cooling units. I was changing the air filters in the heating and cooling system every week. I finally asked the local HVAC company for some suggestions. She highly suggested that I install a whole-house air purification system. The air purification system incorporated into the air handler of the heating/cooling unit and cleaned the air before it is introduced into the home. It captures airborne contaminants, handles unpleasant stinks, while also ensuring a much healthier living and breathing atmosphere. It also helps to protect the cleanliness of the HVAC equipment. Although I have since given up the small dog grooming business, I am still legitimately glad with the addition of the air purification system.
